REITZ INDIA ON ITS WAY UP.
India is young. The average age in India is twenty-three. The average age in Germany is forty-two in comparison. Reitz India, our sister company, is just as young and dynamic as the country’s population. India has been filled with a spirit of awakening and an air of optimism that seems to be contagious to German visitors.
Reitz and Reitz India have been Joint Venture Partners since 1998 with Reitz Holding owning 50% of the shares. There have been no regrets whatsoever in Hoxter after nearly ten years of business activities on the sub-continent. Au contraire: business activities not only have evolved into successful business relations but the regular exchange has also fostered friendships. And we are going to keep it that way. Employees in India shall get to know the German mentality and work morale and vice versa. Plus, a visit to India makes for an unforgettable experience any time.
THE " NO PROBLEM " MIRACLE OF HYDERABAD
The rapid economic growth we have experience in Hoxter during the past few years has been surpassed by far by the development of Reitz in India. The general conditions, however, are still less than ideal. Power failure ? No problem. Lorry stuck in traffic ? No problem. Somehow all these less-than ideal situations are successfully coped with in India. And the demand has been enormous. On every corner something is being built. Cement works have been springing up like mushrooms and that’s where Reitz India Industrial fans are needed.
Currently, Reitz India is producing 75% of all the fans for the cement industry. The also booming power plant industry takes the remaining fans. Who would question that India needs power – lots of power – and steel, of course, and chemical engineering and everything else an ambitious industrial nation requires for continued economic growth. The economic potential seems to be unlimited. The sole task is to create organizational structures to satisfy the enormous demand.
- NEW FACILITIES,
- NEW PARTNERS,
- NEW CAPACITIES
These are the reasons for the ongoing construction and expansion at Reitz India. Turbovent 2 has just finished building a new 4500 square metre production facility. Furnished with cutting edge equipment ranging from plasma cutting machines to bending machines, 150 employees are to produce industrial fans for the Asian market at this site alone. Managing Director Prasad Rao along with the Management Board in the metropolis of Hyderabad are particularly proud of the fact that not only the turnover and profits have skyrocketed in the past few years but also the output per man hour. This reflects the technological and organizational dynamics which make Reitz India look towards a prosperous future with confidence.
FROM 4.4 TO 54 MILLION RUPEES IN 3 YEARS
Reitz India was able to gradually increase its operative profits from 4.46 million rupees in 2003/04 to 54.09 million rupees (approx. 930,000 euros) in 2006/2007. The turnover grew from 112 million rupees in 2003 to 757 million rupees in 2007 (approx 13 million euros) while the output per employee has increased by 300% at the same time. It comes as no surprise that Reitz India is extremely important to the entire Reitz India is extremely important to the entire Reitz Holding Company for taking the lead on the booming Asian market as the number one industrial fan supplier. Certainly not in competition with the German site but rather as an autonomous enterprise enjoying the full support of the team in Hoxter. |
